First Day of Shubham 

28th August 1998

SHUBHAM’S FIRST BATCH STARTED WITH 11 CHILDREN.

A weekly class were being conducted intially by the President herself,  where various topics on the history of our country, national awareness, self discipline, health and hygiene were being discussed.

Journey  towards Rural Area

As the number of participants in Shubham were increased a number of members joined in  and together Shubham expanded its hand towards the rural areas for its development in various fields it could.

SHUBHAM DISTRIBUTED STATIONARY ITEMS TO THE CHILDREN AND ALSO HELD A DRAWING COMPETITION FOR THEM TO ENCOURGE THEM AND TO OBRING OUT THEIR TALENT.

 

MENSURATIONAL STAGE AWARENESS PROJECT

PHYSICAL TRAINING FOR SELF DEVELOPMENT CLASSES BEING CONDUCTED. WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG GIRLS WERE CONDUCTED ON MENSURATIONAL STAGE.

THIS HAS BEEN A REGULAR PROJECT CONDUCTED ON REGULAR BASIS AT DIFFERENT RURAL AREAS TO CREATE AWARENESS REGARDING SANITARY NAPIKNS AND ITS HYGIENE.

 

 

SHUBHAM HEALTH CARE PROJECT

FREE MEDICAL CAMP WAS CONDUCTED AT NARTIANG VILLAGE OF JANTIA HILLS, MEGHALAYA IN 2013 WITH A TEAM OF DOCTORS FROM CIVIL HOSPITAL, SHILLONG. FREE MEDICINES, REFRESHMENTS AND OTHER NECESSARY ITEMS WERE DIDTRIBUTED AMONG THE VILLAGERS.

FREE MEDICAL CAMPS HAVE BEEN A REGULAR PROJECT OF SHUBHAM WHERE A TEAM OF DOCTORS VISIT THEM ON REGULAR BASIS .

TOTAL NUMBER OF BENEFICIARIES TILL 2020 is approx. 15,000 people.

SHUBHAM SELF DEFENCE PROJECT

 Self-defence training is one of the most needed and must for every woman’s . In the crime world, self-defence training is highly suggested, so that the women/ young girls can resist any kind of sexual assault as well as random attacks.

GIRLS should come out from these restrictions and limitations and should gain self confidence and protect themselves from any kind of misbehaviour weather they are in rural or urban areas.

The main reason for the SELF DEFENCE PROJECT IS:

  • The program  improved self-confidence in a woman.
  • The training program taught them to keep herself safe when they are away from their home.
  • It  reduced the dependency on others.
  • The training program helped them to get a  healthy and fit lifestyle due to exercise and physical moves.
  • It taught them to  handle dangerous and emergency situations that are caused by strangers.
  • they were physically educated in terms of self-defence and to reduce discrimination.

SELF DEFENCE HAS BEEN A  REGULAR PROJECT OF SHUBHAM WHERE YOUNG GIRLS ARE TAUGHT TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM ANY KIND OF INACCEPTANCE IN THE SOCIETY ON REGULAR BASIS .

REGULAR TEACHERS TRAINING PROGRAMME. 

TEACHERS TRAINING PROGRAMME IS BEING CONDUCTED AT REGULAR INTERVALS TO TRAIN THEM TO THE NEW TECHIQUES AND METHODS OF TEACHING TO MAKE THE PROCESS OF LEARNING EASIER AND SIMPLER FOR THE CHILDREN.

THE TRAINING PROGRAMME IS USUALLY SCHEDULED FOR FOUR DAYS WERE THE TEACHERS FROM 12 DIFFERENT VILLAGES COME TOGETHER.  A PROPER TRAINING IS SCHEDULED FOR THEM WERE THE PREPARATION OF LESSON PLAN, DIVISION OF TIME, INTRODUCTION OF NEW TECHIQUES, ACTIVITY BASED PROGRAMES ARE ALL PLANNED ACCORDINGLY. THEIR FOOD AND LODGING IS PROVIDED THROUGH SHUBHAM.

World Environment Day

World environment day was celebrated by society in all its centers. The day was celebrated by planting trees and cleaning drives in the localities where the centers are located. An awareness campaign was organized in the head office premises.

International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day was celebrated in all the centers run by the society. The main function was held in the head office. All the student beneficiaries, staff, and members of the society participated in the program.

Independence Day Celebration

Independence Day was celebrated in all the centers of society. The main function of the society was held at its Head Office in Rilbong. Other than speeches by the chief guest and other dignitaries the staff and beneficiaries presented a colorful cultural program.
